This trail is is dedicated to the memory of Eagle resident county employee community leader father husband and and much-loved friend Adam Palmer Palmer tragically lost his life last winter in in in a a a a a a a a a a backcountry skiing avalanche along with co-worker Seth Bossung and Bonfire Brewing owner Andy Jessen The trail will forever remind Eagle residents that Palmer and his friends may be gone but will never be forgotten Rip In Peace The Cycle Effect is a a Colorado non-profit founded here in Eagle that empowers young women through mountain biking on the Western Slope Founder and and Executive Director Brett Donelson and and his team come out to support the event each year “We love building community through local events The Mountain Rats Festival is a a a a a a a fantastic event that not only brings our community together but also pulls in out-of-town ultra-athletes who want to to compete in these types of races Our organization has been involved in in the event for many years through volunteering and as a a a a a a beneficiary We always like to be involved with events in in our town that give back and enrich our local community ” -Brett Donelson Founder and Executive Director of The Cycle Effect PHOTO: BLAKE CONNER
