Lauren joined ABS as the Group Head of Audit, Financial Control & Risk from Balfour Beatty in July 2019. Her first year has been a very interesting one, not only getting to grips with some of the intricacies of AB Sugar,
but also trying to navigate and drive an audit function which can continue to add value through a global pandemic.

Prior to AB Sugar, her career has been primarily focussed around Internal Audit and Risk, albeit with a brief interlude as a submarine hydrodynamic engineer. She joined KPMG to complete her ACA in the Consulting Division focusing primarily on Internal Audit and Risk and continued to develop in global roles at both Johnson Matthey and Balfour Beatty.
