Eligibility
In order to access a Home Care Package,
you need to contact My Aged Care to check
your eligibility and be assessed by the Aged
Care Assessment Team (ACAT), or Aged Care
Assessment Services (ACAS) in Victoria. The
amount of support you require determines
which of the four levels of Home Care
Packages you will receive.
Choosing your provider
Once you have been approved for a Home
Care Package you can then choose a service
provider that meets your needs. To receive

Financial considerations
If your personal circumstances allow, it is
expected that you contribute to the cost
of your care. There are two types of fees
that you can expect to pay for a Home Care
Package: a basic daily fee and an income-
tested care fee.
Accepting a Home Care Package
Just Better Care will work closely with you
and your family to guide you through the
steps to starting your Home Care Package.
Before you begin receiving services our
Support Advisor will meet with you and
your family to discuss your individual
requirements and help get you started.
Beginning your services
Services can commence once an agreement
is signed with Just Better Care. We will work
with you to select Support Professionals
who are the right match and have shared
interests. It’s important to us that you feel
safe and trust the staff who support you.
