According to the World Health Organization (WHO), ‘disabilities is an umbrella term, covering impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions.’ The WHO estimates that about 15 per cent of the world’s population live with some form of disability. That’s one billion people. Disability is not just an issue of health, it is a complex, diverse and multilayered experience that connects the features of a person’s body with the society they are a part of.
  In any one year, 1 million Australian adults have depression, and over 2 million have anxiety.08
