 Celebrating
HER... STORY
Patti Willard (the not-so-silent partner) began her creative journey in the
early 1970’s crafting custom leather garments and accessories and managing The Seriously Leather Company in Buckhead. When Atlanta’s FOX theater was
endangered, she opened Midtown Light and Trust, a gallery and coffee-shop in the complex – drawing together artists from the Christian community to support the Save the FOX cause. In the 1980s, she co-founded Bread & Roses Catering, with its special focus on catering to the fifilm industry.
Patti has followed the old-school path of apprenticeship for her design training and has learned from some of the best. She has worked behind the scenes
in many creative environments – the studio of illustrator and sculptor Richard MacDonald; the American Illustrators Gallery; Trousdell Design studio; and for the past 30 years, side-by-side with Martin Westley.
Having designed several books for clients, Patti is also a writer and is currently working on a memoir.
