Approach the fallen person
Place the seat on the floor by the person’s side
Lift the thighs to an angled position
Carefully push the seat under the thighs
Turn the person’s shoulder slightly
Carefully push the back rest (marked red for left handed side) under the person’s shoulder
Push the rear leg onto the shaft and click into place Slide the front leg onto shaft and click into place
Repeat for right hand side
May need to use a slide sheet in the person’s back to help with sliding on the chair
Ask SU to support their own head if possible. Gently assist support of the head with one hand and raise the chair using the hand control
