About the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2025 Doodle
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be
judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This Doodle honors the life and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a civil rights movement leader
and lifelong advocate for equality and justice. Across the U.S., many participate in a Day of Service to
honor Dr. King’s legacy.
The artwork, featuring black and white children playing in harmony, was inspired by Dr. King’s famous
“I Have A Dream” speech delivered during the March on Washington, where he articulated his vision
for racial equality and helped usher in the 1964 Civil Rights Act. It's considered one of the greatest
and most influential speeches in American history.
Dr. King's enduring legacy and commitment to justice and equal opportunity continue to inspire
