The Petroglyph Mine shaft is shown here. mindat.org describes the mine as: “Workings visible from the surface (January 2008) include a small inclined opening on the south end, which quickly drops vertically (ladder length deep). A shaft, of unknown depth, is located not far to the
north and a second shaft is open in line with the other two openings. Overall, the length of the area containing the openings is about 100 feet (30 meters), or less. The surface around the northernmost opening has the remnants of a small ore pile on its western side. The overall footprint of the mine is barely visible from the highway despite the fact that it is near the top of an open hillside.”
