The section of the goatherder’s trail which is shown to the right (from Italian/Water Road to the overlook above the goat ranch is getting enough use to be well marked and easy to walk on...in fact a pleasure to walk along (photo below).
At least part of the trail from the overlook (end of trail depicted to the right) to the northeast is now marked with cairns.
Walking along this trail will remind you of what it was like to walk in this area prior to the Silver Fire. Vistas, like that shown to the right are frequent while walking along the trail - not a burnt snag in sight.
