Remittances to Ukraine have exceeded $10.34bn since the beginning of 2021, announced the NBU. In the period January-September, private transfers to Ukraine amounted to $10.339bn. During the month of September, the volume of private remittances to Ukraine from abroad reached $1.26bn.
JPMorgan has improved the forecast of the hryvnia exchange rate for 2022. In October-December 2021, the hryvnia exchange rate is projected at ₴26.3 / $1, previously it was expected to be ₴26.5 / $1. The hryvnia exchange rate will remain at this level in January-March 2022, although a devaluation of up to ₴27 / $1 was previously expected. In April-June 2022, the national currency rate will fall slightly to ₴26.5 / $1 (previously expected ₴27.3 / $1), and in July-September to ₴26.8 /$1.
