Export ambitions
Argentina’s ambitions to become a major LNG exporter appear unlikely to be
realised in the shorter term, and producers are prioritising pipeline exports.
Small-scale LNG
Indonesia’s state-owned Pertamina unveiled plans this week to build a small-
scale LNG terminal to supply feedstock to its Cilacap refinery.
Stake sale
French energy group Engie reported on May 26 it had shed a 10% stake in
LNG tech firm GTT for €290mn ($355mn).
Ahead of schedule
Russia’s Novatek expects its flagship Arctic LNG-2 project to reach full
capacity in 2025, one year earlier than anticipated.
