Zarubezhneft eyes first oil
from Vietnamese shelf in
2022
Russian oil producer Zarubezhne plans to start oil production on Vietnam’s o shore block 09-2/09 by the end of 2022, according to a company report seen by Russia’s PRIME news agency.
“We will get an investment license for this eld in 2019 and the rst oil by the end of 2022,” CEO Sergei Kudryashov was cited as saying in the statement.
Zarubezhne and Petrovietnam agreed on the main terms of a production sharing agreement (PSA) for the block in September 2018. Zarubezhne has a 30% stake in the eld, while Petrovietnam has 30% and their joint venture Vietsovpetro has 40%. In
May, Zarubezhne and PVEP, an a liate of Petrovietnam, signed a cession agreement for the stake.

Kazakhstan aims to
produce 89mn tonnes of oil
this year
Kazakhstan aims to produce 89mn tonnes of crude oil and condensate this year, according to the country’s deputy energy minister Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, commenting on the extension of the global OPEC+ agreement on output cuts.
“No I don’t think [output] will be a ected, taking into account all major repairs and stoppages at large projects...this year we plan to extract 89mn tonnes,” Dosmukhambetov said.
Kazakhstan is a participant in the OPEC+ agreement.

Yamal LNG revealed output for 6M-2019
e Yamal LNG project produced 9mn tonnes of LNG and 600,000 tonnes of stable gas condensate in the rst six months of 2018, according to its operator Novatek, implying that all three production trains
at the project were working above design capacity. In the same period, 126 tanker
shipments were made, with the bulk of supplies being o oaded from Arctic icebreaking vessels at a later stage onto conventional vessels in Norway. ese transhipment operations began in November 2018, and since then 123 overloads have been carried out.
At the end of June, Yamal LNG shopped its rst cargo to Japan under a long-term supply contract with France’s Total, which is also one of the project’s shareholders.

Ukrainian gas output up 3% in 6M-2019
Gas production in Ukraine rose by
2.8% y/y in the first six months of 2019
to 10.49bn cubic metres, according to data published by national pipeline operator Ukrtransgaz. State-owned UkrGasVydobuvannya (UGV) produced 7.66bcm of gas during the period, while the country’s national oil company Ukrnafta, lifted 576mn cubic metres, and private gas producers extracted 2.25bcm. Ukrainian production reached 20.9bcm in 2018, up 0.3% y/y.
