    9.1.5 Retail sector news
Rosstat has released its data on the consumer foodservice market in June, which corrected 43% y/y RUB79.2bn. The total market decline for 2Q20 was 49% y/y (RUB208bn). The foodservice market was one of the sectors most affected by the pandemic lockdown, as all outlets have been closed since 28 March, with only takeaway or delivery services allowed. As ready-food delivery represented only 13% of the total market in 2019 (RUB170bn), most players were not able to compensate for the loss of offline revenues, losing 50-70% of their revenues. As restaurants were allowed to reopen gradually from mid-June, the situation has started to improve, resulting in the June figures growing 22% m/m, according to Rosstat.
