Russian Defence Ministry Sergey Shoigu say he hopes to sign 39 contracts worth a total of RUB1.2 trillion ($15.5bn) during the Army-2020 military forum, which began on August 24, Russia’s premier arms fair. “We are expecting to sign 39 contracts, and the total will be almost RUB1.160 trillion,” Shoigu said as aired on the army’s TV station Zvezda. The sixth international defence industry forum ARMY-2020, organized by the Russian Defence Ministry, is a showcase for state-of-the-art weaponry and military hardware.
