               was down 60.5% y/y to 0.99mn, while Rossiya’s PAX traffic was down 21.4% y/y to 0.4mn. Pobeda’s PAX traffic for the month was up 2.8% y/y to 0.84mn. By combining the results for Aeroflot, Rossiya and Pobeda, we can calculate Aeroflot Group’s performance. Aeroflot Group’s PAX traffic was down approximately 41.8% y/y to 2.2mn in February, weaker than the general performance of Russian airlines (-36% y/y to 5.1mn). The market’s PAX turnover in February was down 51.3% y/y to 10.2mn RPK. Despite the weakness, the market and Aeroflot Group both saw PAX traffic continue to recover for the fourth month in a row after the industry saw its deepest decline since July 2020 in November 2020.
Sheremetyevo International Airport was recognized as the best airport for service quality in 2020 among airports with 2019 passenger traffic of more than 40 million by the Airports Council International’s (ACI) global program for researching the level of service at airports Airport Service Quality (ASQ). Sheremetyevo Airport has been recognized consistently since 2012 as one of the best airports in Europe in terms of service quality. At the end of 2020, Sheremetyevo topped the rating in the category of the largest airports in Europe for the third time. At the same time, this year Sheremetyevo was included in the list of the Voice of the Customer of the Airports Council International – the 140 most active airports in the implementation of the ASQ ACI program during the COVID-19 pandemic.
