undisclosed amount. Anex Tour is one of the largest tour operators in Russia, but the Intourist brand will be preserved.
“After recapitalising and restructuring the company we will turn Intourist into a truly people’s company through an IPO in Russia,” Koçkar is quoted as saying without providing the timeline or amount of the possible placement. Previously Koçkar acquired 8% in Thomas Cook, becoming its second-largest shareholder.
Intourist was founded in 1929 and took care of tourist visits to the Soviet Union, international festivals, artistic tours, and state visits.
Anex now operates under the name Anex Tour in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Germany and also with its OREX Travel tour operator companies in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. The group carries 3mn tourists each year. In Russia it operates 318 offices.
The group operates 26 Boeing aircraft with three different airline companies in Russia, Ukraine, and Germany under the brand AZUR Air. Also, it has AZEX brokerage company operating in aviation, ADO Aviation, a private air transport company, and AZUR Aviation, a technical service company.

● Enerjisa
Enerjisa, a joint venture between local conglomerate Sabanci Holding and E.ON, is engaged in electricity production and distribution. It sells electricity to some 10mn customers in Turkey’s 14 provinces.
● Others
German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has won an order to supply Turkish companies with turbines with a combined capacity of 284MW. For longstanding customer Boydak Enerji, Nordex will supply wind turbines for the 110.8 MW Omerli wind farm to be built near Istanbul and the Sibel wind project. The latter has a total capacity of 80.9 MW and is situated in the Aegean region between Izmir and Manisa.
In addition to these two contracts, Nordex has received orders from a Turkish utility for wind turbines with a rated capacity of 4.8 MW for a 67 MW wind farm in the Marmara region.
Since entering the Turkish market in 2007, the Nordex Group has installed more than 2.03 GW of wind capacity in Turkey, representing a market share of almost 27%.
In all, Nordex has installed more than 25 GW of wind energy capacity in over 40 markets. In 2018, the company generated revenues of around €2.5bn. It has more than 6,000 employees.
Boydak Holding operates in eight sectors including furniture, home textiles and energy. It groups 35 companies.
North Macedonia power producer ESM said it signed a contract on November 28 with Turkish company Girisim Electric on the construction of the 10 MW Oslomej photovoltaic power plant. The project is worth €6.9mn of which €5.9mn were provided from a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and €1mn have been invested by ESM.
