Novatek registers licence for Bukarinsky block
Novatek announced today that Arctic LNG
1, a wholly owned subsidiary, registered
license number SLH 16637 NR for geological survey, exploration and production at the Bukharinskiy subsoil license area on the Gydan Peninsula. The license area partially located in the shallow waters of the Ob and Taz bays in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region, and is obtained for a period up to 2050. The licence terms stipulates that the resource base should be used for LNG production at gas liquefaction facilities located in the YNAO and the adjacent water area.
The license area is located in close proximity to the Geofizicheskiy and Trekhbugorniy license areas and the Soletsko-Khanaveyskoye field. Arctic LNG 1, Novatek’s next large-scale LNG project, holds these license areas. The Bukharinskiy license area has estimated hydrocarbon resources of 1,190bn cubic meters of natural gas and 74mn mt of liquids, or 8.4bn barrels of oil equivalent, according to the Russian resource classification system.
The company intends to begin full- scale geological and geophysical activities and commence the drilling of the
first exploratory well in the upcoming exploration 2020/2021 season.

Novatek shareholders approve dividends
Novatek announced that the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) approved the total dividend payment for 2019.
The total dividend distribution for
2019 is RUB32.33 per ordinary share (or RUB323.3 per GDR), representing an increase of 24.1% as compared to RUB26.06 (or RUB260.6 per GDR) for 2018.
The shareholders of record as at 8 May 2020 will be entitled to receive dividends.
The dividend is payable in cash not later than June 16 2020.

Gazprom Neft distributes
medical PPE in fight against
COVID-19
Gazprom Neft has begun delivering
free supplies of medical PPE (personal protective equipment) throughout Russia’s regions as part of its corporate “Antivirus” programme to combat COVID-19.
The “Gazprom Neft for Medics” initiative will facilitate the delivery of more than 1.3 million masks and respirators, specialist isolation screens, goggles, hazmat suits and gloves to medical institutions.
The first batches of equipment for medical professionals have already been delivered to healthcare agencies in seven regions of Russia: the Omsk, Orenburg and Tomsk Oblasts, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, and the Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs. These regions are home to Gazprom Neft’s major industrial facilities.
Gazprom Neft will continue to provide free deliveries of medical PPE over the coming months, as well as supporting emergency services and volunteer organisations by providing free fuel throughout the company’s filling-station network, which has already been supplying fuel to medical transport services at no cost in several regions of Russia.

Operator of Russian gas pipeline project Nord Stream 2 AG is unaware of any court proceedings that would allow Poland to freeze the project, a spokesperson told PRIME on April 28.
“Nord Stream 2 AG is unaware of any court litigations that could be reflected on the assets of the company and therefore on the project,” the spokesperson said.
Poland’s Deputy State Assets Minister Janusz Kowalski told newspaper Wprost on Tuesday that he advocated arrest of shares of Nord Stream AG and Nord Stream 2 AG, if Gazprom does not pay $1.5bn to Poland’s PGNiG under a ruling of the Stockholm arbitration court.
Spox says Chayandinskoye
produces gas despite
prosecutor check
Gas is produced and commissioned to the Sila Sibiri pipeline on schedule despite a prosecutor check of the Chayandinskoye deposit, a spokesperson for Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk told PRIME on April 28.
“We are aware of the fact that the workers of one of the contractors are discontent. The development arms of Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk ensure production, preparation and commissioning of gas to the Sila Sibiri pipeline fully,” the spokesperson said.
Media reported earlier that the workers on the deposit expressed discontent with the living conditions amid the pandemic, and the prosecutors started a check.
Rosneft says board to mull
oil output reduction May–
July on Thu
The board of directors of Russian oil major Rosneft will decide on reduction of oil output in May–July 2020 on Thursday, according to the documents seen by PRIME on April 28.
The company can cut production to help Russia to fulfill a decision to join the new OPEC+ deal.
Russia’s March LNG
production rises 1% to 3mn

Russia’s March LNG production rose 1% to 3mn tonnes and 3.1% on the month to 2.7mn tonnes in March, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on April 27.
Natural gas production fell by 13.7% on the year and by 2.5% on the month to 51.4bn cubic metres.
Associated oil gas output rose 3.2% on the year and 5.3% on the month to 8.4 bcm.
