The area in this licence consists of parts of blocks 33/6 and 34/4. The well will be drilled about 8 kilometres northwest of the Snorre field.
Production licence 882 was awarded on February 10, 2017 (APA 2016). This is the fourth exploration well to be drilled in the licence.
The permit is contingent on the operator securing all other permits and consents required by other authorities prior to commencing the drilling activity.

Drillingpermitforwell17/8- 1 in production licence 976
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Lundin Energy Norway AS a drilling permit for well 17/8-1, cf. Section 13 of the Resource Management Regulations.
Well 17/8-1 will be drilled from the Deepsea Stavanger drilling facility in position 58°27’6.11”N and 3°31’9.19”E.
The drilling programme for well 17/8-1 relates to the drilling of a wildcat well in production licence 976. Lundin Energy Norway AS is the operator with an ownership interest of 50%. The other licensees are Repsol
Norge AS (30%) and Petoro AS (20%).
The area in this permit consists of parts of
blocks 17/4, 17/5, 17/6, 17/7, 17/8 and 17/9. The well will be drilled about 65 kilometres southeast of the Johan Sverdrup field.
Production licence 976 was awarded on 1 March 2019, APA 2018. This is the first exploration well to be drilled in the licence.
The permit is contingent on the operator securing all other permits and consents required by other authorities prior to commencing the drilling activity.

Romania’s biggest refinery RompetrolRafinareplansto resume operations by end- September
Rompetrol Rafinare, Romania’s biggest refinery and a member of Kazakhstan’s KMG International Group, announced that it intends to restart production activities by the end of September, after operations were suspended following an accident on July 2.
The operations will be resumed by the end of September in accordance with the work schedule and delivery of equipment
necessary for repairs and inspections of units affected by the July 2 incident, the company said. Production units will gradually enter the operational flow.
This is conditioned by the additional measures of verification and testing of the equipment, in accordance with the safety rules for their start-up and the safety measures
in operation, but also by the approval and certification of the installations by the competent authorities, the company said.
Currently, specific repairing, electrical and engineering activities are taking place in the affected facilities.
