Mermaid wins subsea contracts
Mermaid Maritime is pleased to announce that its Middle East and South East Asian business units have recently been awarded subsea contracts with
a combined total estimated potential contract value of $7.4mn.
e rst highlighted package of work, commencing in the third quarter of 2019, involves use of a Mermaid air dive system and a light work-class ROV carrying out air diving and ROV services for a national upstream
oil and gas company o shore in the Middle East GCC. e duration of the contract is for approximately 9 months.
e second highlighted package of work, also commencing in the third quarter of 2019, will involve use of Mermaid o shore diving, survey, ROV and deck crew and a third party chartered-in vessel to carry out o shore installation of a 2,000-meter subsea manuli hose for oil production support together with UWILD inspection services for an international EPCIC company o shore in South East Asia. e duration of the contract is for approximately 45 days.
Mermaid’s contract win announcements as published from time to time on SGXNet are not exhaustive as Mermaid continues to be awarded other smaller contracts in the ordinary course of business which are added to its order book.

Java (PHE-ONWJ) continues to strengthen personnel and equipment to handle cleaning of oil spills that are not caught at sea and o to the coast with the support of more than 1500 personnel and equipment.
In addition to support from residents around the a ected area, as of August 8, 2019 the number of TNI members who worked together to handle oil spills along the a ected coast in the Karawang area was 87 personnel. A number of equipment and equipment to prevent oil spills are installed on the coast and river mouths to prevent the spread of oil spills in waters and river ow.

Pertamina ensures fuel supply to Cipali Toll is safe
PT Pertamina (Persero) Marketing Operation Region (MOR) III ensures fuel supply to Palimanan is safe, following the incident of burning of a fuel tank in Tegal Karang Village, Karang Tengah Block, Palimanan District, Cirebon.
e tank with Nopol B 9085 SEH had a re this morning at 06:35, right in front of the gas station 34.45129, Jalan Arjawiangun - Palimanan.
Tank with a capacity of 24 kiloliters of fuel with the aim of sending gas stations 34.45423 Cipali Tol KM 164B. e fuel load on the tanker is safe and transferred to the replacement eet.
“ e re can be extinguished, a er the driver and tank crew try to extinguish the re in the back of the tank, then assisted by local re ghters. ere were no fatalities in this incident. e cause of the incident is still under investigation,” explained Dewi Sri Utami, Unit Manager of Communication Pertamina MOR Relations & CSR III.
Dewi expressed her apology for the incident and ensured that the supply of Cipali Toll Fuel was safe.

Prelude FLNG
Flowserve Corporation, a leading provider of ow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, has entered into a ve-year contract with Shell Australia to provide general maintenance services for Shell’s Prelude Floating LNG (FLNG) facility, which is producing natural gas from an o shore eld in Western Australia.
Flowserve will support Prelude from
its recently refurbished Quick Response Center (QRC) in Darwin, the capital of Australia’s Northern Territory. Flowserve QRCs are dedicated maintenance, repair and manufacturing workshop facilities
that provide customers with responsive, local support. Since opening in 2003, the Darwin QRC in Yarrawonga has primarily serviced ow control valves and seals;
as part of this agreement, Flowserve has committed to expanding its capabilities to include maintenance and repair services for centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, heat exchangers, fans and blowers, hydraulic power units, and other related equipment.
“Flowserve values the successful projects and relationships we have developed with Shell through the years,” said Scott Rowe, President and Chief Executive O cer of Flowserve. “We look forward to helping maximize the uptime and productivity of the Prelude facility with highly responsive maintenance and repair services.”
