The World Bank’s Doing Business 2020 survey has ranked Turkey at 33rd of 190 economies, an improvement of 10 places versus the 2019 edition of the annual assessment.
The country's points score in the survey which focuses on the ease of doing business improved from 74.3 last year to 76.8 this year.
Turkey was highlighted for making it easier to register property by reducing taxes or fees and cutting the time required to complete the registration process and for making it easier to pay taxes by improving the VAT refund process.
Turkey's rankings in the Doing Business 2020 sub-categories are as follows:

Serbia, Croatia join race for VW plant but carmaker ‘not actively looking for alternative to Turkey’ as things stand. Volkswagen said on October 22 that it is not scouting for alternative locations to Turkey as it evaluates plans to build a new billion-dollar car factory.
