Ukraine's banking sector continues to perform well with the sector earning UAH6,236mn ($234mn) of profit in June, but still behind the UAH7,609mn it earned in June 2019, the last year of strong growth.
However, on a cumulative basis the sector earned UAH30,077mn ($1.1bn) in the first half of this year, which was only just behind the UAH31,037mn it earned in the same period of 2019 so the sector is on course to be as profitable, or more, than it was in 2019.
