Furthermore, the NBU will introduce an annual assessment of the banks' resilience, which will encompass an asset quality analysis (for all banks) and stress testing (for the 25 banks that together account for 95% of the system’s assets).
8.1.3  Banks specific issues
Use of the IBAN and BIC to become obligatory by 2020.  The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) and the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine (NABU) have begun cooperating on the adoption by national banks of the International bank account number (IBAN) standard and Business identifier code (BIC), the central bank has announced. Their use will become mandatory in 2020, the NBU has told Interfax-Ukraine. Currently, six national banks have confirmed the availability of the IBAN for use in cross-border transfers: Ukreximbank, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB), International Investment Bank, Alfa Bank and ING Bank Ukraine (all based in Kyiv).
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) at present does not see potential buyers of banks with Russian capital  and believes that their withdrawal from the market is the only way for leaving the country, Deputy Board Chairman of the NBU Kateryna Rozhkova has said. "As for Prominvestbank (PIB) and Sberbank, there were potential investors to whom the NBU decided not to issue the permit. At present, the issue [of how to leave the country] remains open... Today we do not see potential buyers who could buy these banks, as they are very large," she told reporters at a public event of the USAID Financial Sector Transformation Project (FST) in Kyiv. Rozhkova said that international financial institutions (IFIs) do not show any interest to these banks, as they are under sanctions, whereas among individuals, the NBU does not see the investors who could not only acquire one of the banks, but also invest and
