       Used car imports jumped 56% y/y in September, to 35,900, ​reports Ukravtoprom, the vehicle industry association. Used cars accounted for 82% of first time registrations last month. The top brands are: Volkswagen, Ford, Renault, Skoda and Opel.
Bucking the world recession, MHP, Ukraine’s largest poultry producer, increased exports by 37% in the third quarter y/y. ​Overall, the company reports, its chicken meat sales are up 2% through September, “mainly due to a significant increase in exports in the third quarter of 2020 - by 37% y/y to 108.47 thousand tons due to increased sales primarily in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa).” Founded in 1998 by Yuriy Kosiuk, MHP is now the second largest poultry producer in Europe, according to WattPoultry.com. The largest is Netherlands-based Louis Dreyfus Company, or LDC.
About 98% of all Ukrainian goods will have access to the British market.​Within the Agreement on Political Cooperation, Free Trade, and Strategic Partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, 98% of the product range will be fully liberalized, another 2% of goods will be liberalized for Ukraine starting from 2023. This Agreement guarantees preferential access for Ukraine to the British market, which is an important component of the development of mutually beneficial relations between the countries. In particular, quotas for some goods will grow from 13% to 20%, which will stimulate Ukrainian exports. In addition, the conditions of access to the British and EU markets will be rapidly expanded, as its revision will take place as soon as in 2022,” says Deputy Minister for Development Economy, Trade and Agriculture Taras Kachka.
In the first four months of the grain marketing year, Ukraine has exported 15 million tons, down 16% from this time last year,​ reports the Agriculture Ministry, citing Customs Service statistics. After drought slowed the corn harvest, wheat and barley accounted for 90% of exports. With Black Sea wheat prices strengthening, Ukraine exported 57% of its 17.5 million ton self-imposed annual export quota. Due to poor weather last summer, the
