Egypt moves towards exports
Eni and BP have been allowed to export gas from the Zohr and North Alexandria elds via liquefaction facilities, Daily News Egypt has reported.
A Ministry of Petroleum source said production from Zohr had increased to 2.3 bcf per day in March. A second stage will start in July, taking total production to 2.95 bcf. e government has been supportive of plans for expansion at Zohr.
Gas prices range from US$4.2 to 5.88 per mmBtu, with a link to international oil prices.
Israeli gas exports to Egypt near
Delek Drilling intends to begin commercial sales of gas, from Israel, to Egypt by the end of June, according to Reuters. Delek, and
its partner Noble Energy, agreed a deal in February 2018 with Dolphinus Holdings on long-term gas sales.
Talks are continuing on supplies via the East Mediterranean Gas line, which could carry supplies to Egypt.
A Delek o cial was quoted by Reuters as saying that technical testing was planned “and we hope we will be able to deliver natural gas commercially to Egypt by the end of June”. e pipeline could carry 150 mmcf per day of gas from Israel.
Rockhopper sets out Egypt drilling results
e Al Jahraa-11 in- ll well reached TD
of 4,150m MD on April 15 in the Kharita formation. Mudlogs and petrophysics indicate the following oil net pay:
ARC: 7.2m TVD
ARD: 4.0m TVD
ARG: 2.5m TVD
Bahariya: 15m TVD
e well has been successfully tested across the ARC, ARG and Bahariya and has been completed with a dual string to produce from these three reservoirs. e well is currently producing approximately 787 bpd gross.
In addition to the oil production from Al Jahraa-11, the operator, Kuwait Energy, is evaluating a gas commercialisation solution through bids for the construction of a sales
gas pipeline from Al Jahraa to the gas plant at El Salmiya.
e Al Jahraa -7 in- ll well was spudded on May 26. As of June 2, the well is drilling ahead at 1,195m in 12 1/4” hole. is well
is planned to TD in the Kharita formation with its primary objective being an in ll oil producer in the ARC reservoir and having a secondary objective in the Bahariya. e well is planned to take around 60 days to drill and complete.
e next well in the programme will be Al Jahraa Water Injector-1, followed by SW-ASH commitment exploration well.
On the Abu Sennan 6 development lease, as previously announced a development lease, which contains the ASX-1X discovery in
the ARC formation, was awarded on March 25, and the well brought on stream shortly therea er. e well is currently producing 150 bpd gross.
As of June 2, the total gross production from Abu Sennan was 5,135 boepd (1,130 boepd net to RKH).
Sam Moody, Chief Executive of Rockhopper, commented: “We are delighted to have drilled yet another highly successful well at Abu Sennan with multiple pay zones encountered across four reservoirs including the Bahariya and maintaining the momentum we enjoyed during 2018 where we were successful in three out of four wells.” RoCKHoPPER ExPloRation, june 3, 2019

Eni announces fifth discovery in Block 15/06
Eni has made the h oil discovery in one year in Block 15/06, in Angola’s deep o shore. e well has been drilled on the Agidigbo exploration prospect, and analysis of post drill results indicate between 300 and 400 million barrels of light oil in place.
e Agidigbo-1 NFW has been drilled by the West Gemini drillship in a water depth of 275 metres, and reached a total depth of
3800 meters. It proved a single hydrocarbon column composed by a gas cap of about 60 m and 100 metres of light oil with an oil down to. e hydrocarbons are contained in the Lower Miocene sandstones with good petrophysical properties. e discovery has further upside that will be proved by an appraisal campaign planned in early 2020.
Due to its proximity to East Hub’s facilities and subsea network, which are at about 10km away, production from Agidigbo can be fast-tracked, thus extending the Armada Olombendo FPSO production plateau.
Agidigbo is the h discovery of commercial nature since the Block 15/06 Joint Venture re-launched its exploration e ort
one year ago. It follows the discoveries of Kalimba, Afoxé, Agogo and Ndungu. e ve discoveries altogether are estimated to contain up to 1.8 billion barrels of light oil in place with possible upside. ese new discoveries further con rm the exploration potential
of the block and the e ectiveness of the exploration skills and proprietary technologies that Eni is utilising to unlock the full potential of the area.
e Block 15/06 Joint Venture is composed by Eni (operator, 36.8421%), Sonangol
P&P (36.8421%) and SSI Fi een Limited (26.3158%).

New Fortress signs on to LNG plan for Angola
New Fortress Energy announced today that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Angolan Ministry of Mineral Resources and Petroleum, Ministry of Energy and Water and Ministry of Finance for the development of a lique ed natural gas (LNG) terminal to supply natural gas to Angola for power generation.
Under the MOU, New Fortress would fund, build, and operate an LNG import and regasi cation terminal and supply gas to power and industrial facilities across Angola and work with the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Petroleum to explore the
