6.1.1 Budget dynamics - results
The Russian government ramped up spending in August. The Finance Ministry has published preliminary statistics on the budget in August.
Revenues reached RUB1.8 trillion, up 3.3% y/y (up 8.4% y/y in 8m19 to RUB13.3 trillion). A breakdown shows that non-oil revenues drove the growth, rising almost 28% y/y in August and 16.7% y/y in 8m19, while oil and gas revenues were down 24% and 1.7% in the periods due to lower oil prices.
