     is extending, keeping the growth rate of goods exports higher than that of imports. Meanwhile, goods imports are prompted by quickly growing energy prices.
The growth of the goods trade deficit will accelerate through the end of the year, as export growth inevitably will drop while the imports growth will stay strong amid growing energy prices and the demand for other imports will be spurred by economic growth. We expect that the goods trade deficit in 2021 will be close to the deficit of the previous year ($5.1bn).
  5.2.1 Import/export dynamics
    Ukraine has exported 13.6mn tons of grain in 2021/2022 marketing year.
As of September 29, Ukraine exported 13.611mn tons of grains and pulses. The announcement was made by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. In September Ukraine has exported: 4.845mn tons of grain, 8.417mn tons of wheat, 3.596mn tons of barley, 30.9 thousand tons of rye, and 1.395mn tonnes of corn.
Ukraine exports 10.3 mln tones of cereals and legumes at the beginning of the period 2021/2022. Since the beginning of the 2021/2022 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 10.29 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. This figure is 11.7% more than the previous period of 2020/2021 when Ukraine exported 5.92 million tons of wheat (4.1% less compared to the same date 2020/2021 marketing year); 2.99 million tons of barley (up 24.7%); 1.34 million tons of corn (2.2 times more); and 24,700 tons of flour (33.7% less).
