Private lender Garanti BBVA said on May 20 that
syndicated loan by signing for $699mn from three separate loan agreements, namely a syndicated loan and loan agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Government-run Vakifbank has obtained a $950mn syndicated loan in a $312mn tranche at a cost of Libor+2.25% and a €590mn tranche at Euribor+2%, the lender said on April 29 in a stock exchange filing.
Private lender Yapi Kredi Bank on May 14 obtained a $780mn and 367-day syndicated loan while also securing a $100mn and 367-day loan from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the lender said on May 15 in a stock exchange filing.
The syndicated loan facility comes in two tranches, with €535mn lent at a cost of Euribor+2% and $199mn at Libor+2.25%.
The loan has an accordion feature and the total amount may increase in the period up until May 27.
In May 2019, Yapi Kredi obtained a $1bn syndicated loan.
Turk Eximbank obtained a $678mn syndicated loan, according to a tweet from Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan on May 15.
