The IMF projected the Iranian economy to endure ​consumer price inflation of 34.2% and 33.5% this year and next year, respectively.​ Last year, the rate was an estimated 41.1%.
For Iran’s ​current account balance​ across 2019, 2020 and 2021, the IMF gave estimated figures of -0.1%, -4.1% and -3.4% of GDP, respectively.
For Iran’s​ unemployment rates ​across 2019, 2020 and 2021, the IMF estimated 13.6%, 16.3% and 16.7% of GDP, respectively.
On the political front, ​Iranian judicial authorities have asked Interpol to put US President Donald Trump on its international Red Notices wanted list for the assassination of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Qasem Soleimani, Mehr News Agency reported on June 29. Soleimani was killed by a US drone strike at Baghdad Airport on January 3 after Trump gave the go-ahead for the operation.

2.1​ ​Iran asks Interpol to place Trump on ‘Wanted List’ for
assassination of general Soleimani

   Iranian judicial authorities have asked Interpol to put US President Donald Trump on its international Red Notices wanted list for the assassination of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Qasem Soleimani, the de facto head of Iran’s military and the country’s second most powerful official, Mehr News Agency reported on June 29.
Soleimani was killed by a US drone strike at Baghdad Airport on January 3 after Trump gave the go-ahead for the operation.
"It was possible to identify 36 people who participated in the preparation of, and were involved in the matter of, the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, among whom there are political and military figures of the United States and other countries," the news agency quoted Tehran’s prosecutor Ali Mehra as saying.
Mehra reportedly added that judicial authorities have adopted a resolution on bringing those people to justice and declaring Red statuses through Interpol, which would mean law enforcement forces around the world would facilitate the search for and capture of the suspects.
He said the individuals, all of which are now also the subject of Iranian arrest warrants, were accused of "murder" and "terrorism," adding: "At the top of the list is US President Donald Trump."
