Teamable raises fresh funds, buys Simppler’s platform
Teamable, a hiring software company based in Yerevan and San Fransisco, has raised an addi- tional $5mn in venture funding from Foundation Capital, True Ventures and SaaStr Fund, TechCrunch reported.
The company has also bought fellow startup Simppler's referral recommendation engine and matchmaking recruiting software, though its CEO and co-founder Laura Bilazarian told the tech news site that it had not used the new funding round to finance the acquisition.
Teamable’s software uses Facebook and other social networks to connect recruiters with workers, which, it says, results in more diverse and suitable potential candidates. It previously raised $5mn in a first round of funding from True Ventures and SaaStr Fund.
Simppler is also venture backed, with funding from firms including Foundation Capital, Greylock and Vertex Ventures.
