Zelenskiy seems to have bitten the bullet. He gave an oligarch speech in March calling the tycoons to account and an oligarch law was submitted at the start of June that could be passed in July.
There has also been a new law buttressing the independence of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) as well as a replacement law forcing public servants to submit an electronic declaration of their assets once a year, with jail time for anyone that fails to file or lies on the form.
And the biggest feather in Zelenskiy cap is on July 1 the new land market went live. Now it is possible for Ukrainians to buy and sell small plots of land. The original version was heavily watered down and the new market will not actually improve things as the plots in question are too small to be able to raise credits against them to invest into production. But the law is an important start, but expanding it into something meaningful will probably take years.
