The state debt of the Russian Federation in the first half of 2021 is RUB20.4 trillion ($277bn) , which is RUB1.48 trillion ($20.1bn) more than the level of the beginning of the year, according to a report by the Audit Chamber.
The national debt is 17.7% of the projected GDP level. Domestic debt increased by 9.7% (to RUB16.18 trillion), its share in the total public debt - by 1.4 pp (to 79.3%).
