As of December, there were 520 active fintech startups and 56 accredited payment and e-money companies as well as five equity-based crowdfunding platforms in the country.
In H1 2021, the number of accelerator programmes rose to 69.
There were nearly 83mn credit card users in Turkey as of December, which put the country in seventh spot in the global ranking, while in terms of the number of credit card transactions, Turkey ranked ninth.
The number of active digital banking consumers was 70.3mn.
