Botas will deliver up to 1.7bn cubic metres (m3) of natural gas by December 31, 2024 to Azerbaijan-controlled SOCAR Turkey.
Oyak Renault suspended production starting January 25 for 15 days due to a shortage of semiconductors.
Other carmakers also halted production for three days due to electricity shortages.
A three-day production suspension would cost Turkey’s automotive industry a billion dollars, Albert Saydam, chair of the Automotive Suppliers’ Association of Turkey, TAYSAD, said.
