Another 32% felt that sanctions are an ineffective tool, because Russia doesn’t respond to them and will not change its policies towards Ukraine.
The majority of those surveyed, 53%, believe that Ukraine’s borders should be restored at any cost, and that the uncontrolled territories in Donetsk and Luhansk should be returned on equal footing with the country’s other regions. Only 7% of respondents were in favor of granting the self-proclaimed DNR and LNR autonomous status as part of Ukraine.
Finally, 64% of respondents fully or mostly support the idea of Ukraine joining NATO. However, Ukrainians remain skeptical about their country’s accession to the alliance in the near future. Indeed, 37% said that NATO accession is possible, but not in the coming years.
