TAV Airports is also active in other areas of airport operations including duty free, food and beverage, ground handling, IT, security and operation services.
The company is targeting serving 90mn to 94mn passengers this year.
Aeroports de Paris Group owns 46.1% of TAV.
TAV Operation Services (TAV OS), a subsidiary of Turkish airport operator TAV Airports, has opened two lounges at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
“TAV OS operates 90 lounges in 28 countries and the latest addition to its portfolio is the ‘primeclass’ lounges at New York JFK International Airport. The company will operate two lounges–one in Terminal 1 and the other in Terminal 4. Spanning an area of 773 square meters, the two lounges will provide services to more than 200 thousand passengers annually,” TAV Airport said in a press release.
The busiest international hub in North America and one of the four airports that serve the NYC area, JFK served 61.6mn passengers in 2018, of which 33.5mn were international passengers.
“Our revenue for the first half of 2019 reached €345mn, with a 9% increase. In addition to our airport operations, TAV Operation Services and its lounge business contributed significantly to this growth,” said TAV Airports CEO Sani Sener.
Together with its subsidiaries, TAV Airports provided services to one million flights and 152mn passengers in 2018.
