Russia's Rostelecom restructures to get control in Tele2
Russian state-controlled integrated telecom major Rostelecom could issue up to 20%
of new shares, and together with treasury shares swap it for 55% stake in Tele2 mobile operator, Kommersant daily reported on July 5 citing sources in the federal government.
Last month the head of Rostelecom Michael Oseevsky said the takeover of Tele2 is planned by the end of 2019. Oseevsky assured that Tele2 will remain an independent company with the existing
management, and the revenues of the combined company will be about RUB500bn.
Rostelecom currently owns 45% of Tele2. The rest is owned by Tele2 Russia Holding AB, in which state-controlled VTB Bank holds 50%, Invintel BV Alexey Mordashov 40% and 10% belongs to the Bank of Russia of Yuri Kovalchuk and his partner.

North Macedonia's bourse turnover plunges 66.2% m/m in June
The turnover on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) plunged 66.2% m/m to MKD374mn (€6.1mn) in June, after soaring 140.9% m/m a month earlier, MSE data indicated.
The drop was due to the lower turnover in both regular trading and block transactions. In June, regular trading turnover on the MSE fell by 23% m/m to MKD331.7mn, while block transactions dropped 57.5% to MKD42.3mn.
The number of bourse transactions fell by 39.1% m/m to 1,262 in the sixth month of the year.
The market capitalisation of the shares traded on the MSE was MKD168.6bn, down 0.8% m/m.
The market capitalisation of listed debt securities declined 13.6% m/m to MKD2.96bn.
The blue chip equity index, MBI10, fell 1.29% m/m to a value of 3,821.61 points at end-June.
There were 103 listed companies on the MSE at the end of June, down from 104 in May.
The most traded company on the official
market was drug company Alkaloid, with a total turnover of MKD39.4mn. The average price of the company’s shares was MKD8,978.56.
In 2018, the turnover on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) jumped 119.8% y/y to MKD10.4bn.
