Cairn outlines COVID-19 measures
With the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) global pandemic, Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta Ltd., India’s largest private oil and gas exploration and production company, has adopted stringent measures
at its operation sites, to ensure a safe work environment for its employees, partners, all stakeholders, and communities.
At Cairn Oil & Gas, the health and safety of everyone who works with us is of paramount importance, and the company has ensured compliance with all guidelines from district, state, and central Government authorities
to contain risk of exposure and infection. In response to the pandemic, Cairn Oil & Gas remains ready with all measures to respond within current site restrictions and has introduced additional safety procedures to ensure health and safety of personnel. Cairn is working closely with district administration, public health officials, and in close coordination with the Rajasthan state Government to support these measures.
Of the slew of situation and emergency response measures in place, key initiatives include: Enforcement of social distancing
and critical hygiene measures, limited critical personnel, and work-from-home; Deferment
of all non-essential travel; Regular infrared temperature-gun screening of all personnel at all work locations and installations; Disinfection of all workplace surfaces a minimum of four times a day; Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
for all healthcare personnel including gloves, aprons, goggles, fluid-repellant surgical masks, face visors, and respirator masks; Real-time monitoring and actions by Crisis Management and Business Continuity Teams.

IndianOil continues to
maintain normal operations
across country despite
Covid-19 constraints
Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil) continues to maintain normal operations at its refineries, pipelines and marketing locations despite the threat of Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
All IndianOil refineries remain unaffected and are operating at 100% capacity for the
last one week, and the upliftment of finished products from them remains normal as on date with upcountry bulk storage locations building up their stocks.
Appropriate advisories have been issued for IndianOil fuel station dealers, pump attendants, LPG distributors and delivery boys manning the customer touch-points to maintain approved safety protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over 115 IndianOil aviation fuelling stations across the country are operating normally.
The Corporation has reduced aviation fuel (ATF) prices with effect from today in line with international prices of the product. In support of the airlines clients, the Corporation will now revise ATF prices every fortnight instead of at the beginning of every month.
In support of the call given by Hon’ble Prime Minister to the people of the country to observe Janata Curfew (self-imposed social isolation) between 7 AM and 9 PM on 22nd March, 2020, IndianOil is undertaking the following steps:
Fuel Stations: All IndianOil fuel stations
will be open as per their regular working
hours on 22nd March, 2020, subject to local directives of the State Governments and district administrations. The fuel stations will operate with skeletal staff to serve customers while ensuring social distancing norms.
LPG Delivery: The Emergency Service
Cell number 1906 for LPG customers will be operational as usual on Sunday. IndianOil is also maximising bottling operations and LPG refill deliveries on Saturday to ensure that most customer requests for refills are attended to. INDIANOIL, March 21, 2020
INOXCVA signs MoU With
Shell Energy India for LNG
distribution
INOX India Pvt Ltd (INOX), global leaders in Cryogenic Liquid Storage, Distribution and Re-Gas solutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shell Energy India Pvt Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary
of Royal Dutch Shell plc, for partnering and developing the market for LNG supply by Road from Shell’s LNG Terminal in Hazira (District Surat), Gujarat. The MoU envisages deployment of distribution infrastructure including logistics and receiving facilities at customer end and will offer LNG access to the customers not connected to the pipelines. This will help in increasing the penetration and consumption of clean, reliable and cost- efficient LNG to commercial and industrial (C&I) users all over the country. The MoU also covers the cooperation in developing a larger market for LNG as a transport fuel for long-haul heavy-duty trucks and buses.
Shell Energy India (SEI) owns and operates a 5 MMTPA LNG Receiving, Storage and Regasification Terminal at Hazira in Gujarat. SEI is building a truck loading facility at its Hazira Terminal and the partnership with INOX, will help Shell to develop the market for LNG as a preferred fuel in the rapidly growing city gas distribution, LCNG and industrial sector as well as usage of LNG as an auto fuel.
