EBRD to lend Bosnia €210mn for construction of Corridor Vc
Head of Hungarian tourism agency slams Budapest airport for poor quality of services
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development said on February 18 it is providing two loans of a combined €210mn to Bosnia & Herzegovina for the construction of 14 km of the pan-European Corridor Vc motorway.
Corridor Vc runs from the Hungarian capital Budapest through Croatia and Bosnia and ends again in Croatia, at the Adriatic town and major seaport of Ploce. The length of the Bosnian part of the corridor is 330km.
One sovereign loan of €60mn will be provided to the Muslim-Croat Federation, and another €150mn will be lent to the Motorways of Republika Srpska and will be backed-up by a sovereign guarantee, the EBRD said in a statement.
The head of the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTU) blasted condi- tions at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, saying the airport opera- tor concentrates solely on profits but the quality of services is below European levels, local media reported on February 16. He is not the first one to voice his discontent with the airport.
