“Your roles should include checkmating any individual or group that wants to derail this won- derful opportunity from coming into fruition in your community,” he advised.
He also promised that the Board will set up a community interface committee that will com- prise of representatives of the community, the investor and NCDMB, with responsibilities to ensure community participation in the project, enhance cordial relationship and promote com- pliance with the Community Content elements of the project.
He, however, warned that the Board would move the investment to another location if the Polaku community became di cult, unco-op- erative or unreceptive.
In their comments, leaders of the community pledged their support to the incoming invest- ment and assured that it will not be disturbed in any way. ey stated that Polaku is a peaceful community and was desirous of development. e women leaders also welcomed the project and expressed willingness to be part of the work- force during the construction stages of the gas cylinder manufacturing plant.
The Board had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and agreement with Rungas and two other companies during the 9th Practical Nigerian Content (PNC) Workshop held in December 2019 at the NCDMB Confer- ence Centre, Yenagoa.

Cameroon launches
tender for feasibility
study for 3D seismic
acquisition project
Cameroon’s National Hydrocarbons Corpora- tion (SNH) has launched an Open International Invitation to Tender (AOIO) for the selection of a company to carry out a feasibility study for a 3D seismic acquisition project onshore Douala/ Kribi-Campo basin.
e maximum duration for the conduct of the feasibility study is four months. Participation in the Invitation to Tender is open to national and international companies or groups of com- panies specialised in carrying out onshore 3D seismic acquisition surveys, and having proven experience in this domain.
Bids are to be submitted March 6, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., local time. Bids will be opened on March 6, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., local time.
Cameroon’s National Hydrocarbons Corpo- ration (SNH) has put on promotion nine blocks
in the hydrocarbons rich Rio del Rey Basin (RDR) and in the highly prospective Douala/ Kribi-Campo (DKC) Basin. These blocks are Ndian River, Bolongo Exploration and Bakassi (in RDR), Etinde Exploration, Ntem, Elombo, Tilapia, Bomono and Kombe-N’sepe (in DKC). SNH, February 4 2020
CGG’s Mozambique
multi-client survey
now available
CGG has announced the nal 3D PSDM seismic dataset from its recent 15,400-square km mul- ti-client survey of the outer Zambezi Delta in the Mozambique Basin is now available for licence. eultramoderndatawasacquiredoverBlocks Z5-C and Z5-D and surrounding open acreage as part of a multi-client program agreed between CGG and Mozambique’s Instituto Nacional de Petroleo (INP).
The final PSDM data identifies key strati- graphic intervals for a better understanding of the petroleum system and, in conjunction with the high-resolution gravity and magnetic data, brings new information on the basin morphol- ogy and its evolution.
CGG’s advanced imaging work ow, includ- ing full-waveform inversion (FWI), reveals a high level of detail in this complex geological setting, such as the complex deep marine tur- biditic system and associated frontal splays, and the complex faulting pattern and internal archi- tecture of the Beira High.
To enhance exploration decision-making, a complementary Mozambique JumpStart pack- age is also now available to license with the PSDM seismic data. is package provides an integrated geoscience analysis of all the regional data available and frames it in its geological
context in an easily accessible format. Data from 11 wells has been analyzed in detail alongside the new seismic interpretation which was supported by hydrocarbon seep identi cation, high-reso- lution potential elds data and the full suite of Robertson multi-client geological data sets.
Dechun Lin, Executive Vice President, Mul- ti-Client, CGG, said: “ ese exceptional seismic images of the Zambezi Delta Basin and detailed JumpStart geoscience study of the region’s geo- logical context add to our extensive, high-quality African multi-client data library and will give the industry enhanced insight into this highly pro- spective region to accelerate and better inform their decision-making.”
