  6.0 Public Sector 6.1 Budget
6.1.1 Budget dynamics - results
     Ukraine's state budget revenue provisionally rose 19.5% y/y to UAH823bn in 8M21, outperforming the plan by 6.3%, the State Treasury reported on Sept. 1. Net tax revenue increased 15.2% y/y to UAH410bn (5.4% above the plan) amid 13.0% y/y growth in gross tax revenue and a 4.4% y/y increase in VAT reimbursement. Customs revenue jumped 37.5% y/y to UAH244bn (3.5% above the plan).
Local budgets' fiscal revenue improved 20.4% y/y to UAH227bn in 8M21, which is 6.9% above the plan. Social payments (pensions and other social fund contributions paid by employers) advanced 19.6% y/y to UAH221bn.
In August alone, state budget revenue surged 41.7% y/y to UAH142bn, which is 8.7% above the plan. Net tax revenue advanced 41.0% y/y to UAH79bn (3.1% above the plan) amid a 38.9% y/y jump in gross tax revenue and a 25.7% y/y increase in VAT reimbursement. Customs revenue surged 35.5% y/y to UAH36bn (0.4% above the plan).
Ukraine's state budget revenue provisionally rose 16.3% y/y to UAH684.5bn in 7M21, outperforming the plan by 7.0%, the State Treasury reported on Aug. 2. Net tax revenue increased 10.4% y/y to UAH330.5bn (6.0% above the plan) amid 8.6% y/y growth in gross tax revenue and a 2.2% y/y increase in VAT reimbursement. Customs revenue jumped 37.8% y/y to UAH207.7bn (4.1% above the plan).
