NOC visits CNPC in China
A senior delegation from National Oil Corporation (NOC) is in China at the invitation of the country’s leading oil major China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) to discuss investment and enhanced cooperation opportunities in the Libyan oil and gas sector.
 e NOC delegation, headed by chairman Eng. Mustafa sanalla, was welcomed by CNPC’s vice president and president of PetroChina, Hou Qijun, and the chairmen of CNPC’s subsidiaries. Mr Hou expressed China and CNPC’s direct interest in progressing cooperation in Libyan exploration and development, oil eld services, and trading
of Libyan crude, with parties potentially cementing future relations through the signature of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at their next meeting.

has met some of the highest quali ed companies in our industry and shared with them opportunities for reconstruction
and development investment in our local
oil sector. With a more stable security environment, we could easily add between 300-400,000 barrels to daily production and grow oil revenue receipts. Our long-term strategy is to produce 2.1 million bpd by 2023. China can help us on that journey.
“We hope that China and its leading oil sector companies will become partners to our vision for the local oil sector based on mutual opportunities through oil and gas imports, joint exploration and development, and the sharing of technical expertise,” added the chairman.
NOC also visited the headquarters of CNPC International Company, the Great Wall Drilling Company (GWDC), China Petroleum Technology & Development Corporation (CPTDC), BGP, China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC) - CNPC subsidiaries previously operational in Libya. Chairman sanalla thanked NOC’s hosts for their e orts to enhance Chinese-Libyan cooperation, encouraging them to engage with future commercial opportunities in Libya.

NNPC, Morocco affirm gas pipeline plans
 e Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Kingdom of Morocco have pledged to deliver on the gas pipeline bilateral agreement between Nigeria and the North African nation in record time.
 is was made known by the Group Managing Director of the Corporation, Mallam Mele K. Kyari, while receiving the Moroccan Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Moha Ou Ali Tagma, at the NNPC Towers, Tuesday.
It would be recalled that during separate state visits, Morocco’s King Mohammed VI had in December 2016 visited Nigeria, while in June 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari reciprocated the gesture, which saw both leaders signing a number of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
 e agreements include a Pipeline Cooperation Agreement (PCA) for the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline; an MoU to develop a chemical plant in Nigeria for production of ammonia and its derivatives and thirdly, an agricultural cooperation agreement on vocational training and technical supervision.
 e PCA will particularly facilitate the establishment of a gas pipeline to supply feedstock gas from Nigeria to Morocco, across
the West African sub-region and all the way to Europe.
speaking on the development, Kyari told the visiting Ambassador that the NNPC was fully aligned with the terms of the MoU and committed to delivering them on time for the bene t of their respective citizens.

Victoria signs term sheet with Aksa Energy
Victoria Oil & Gas Plc, whose wholly-owned subsidiary, Gaz du Cameroun (GDC), is the fully integrated onshore gas producer and distributor with operations located in the
port city of Douala, Cameroon, is pleased to announce that it has signed a non-binding term sheet with Aksa Enerji Uretim to supply Aksa Energy with up to 25mmsfd of gas to Aksa Energy’s planned 150MW power station, to be located in Bekoko, Douala, Cameroon.
 e Term sheet is subject to various conditions precedent, including government approvals and the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement by Aksa Energy with Eneo Cameroon or sonatrel.  e key commercial terms between Aksa Energy and GdC include: Gas Price: Us$6.75 per mmbtu; Term: 25 years, plus option to extend for an additional 5 years; and 70% Take or pay component. vICtoRIA oIl & gAs, july 29, 2019
Tullow plans Cote d’Ivoire seismic
In Côte d’Ivoire, the farm-in by Cairn Energy has completed and planning for a 2D seismic programme and associated stakeholder engagement is under way. seismic acquisition is expected to start in september 2019, subject to receiving regulatory approvals.
