2.12 Russian business and consumer confidence
Russia’s Business Confidence in Russia increased to -1 index points in May from -2 Index Points in April of 2019. After a wobble last autumn business outlook has been improving steadily.
Business Confidence in Russia averaged -3.24 Index Points from 2005 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 7 Index Points in July of 2007 and a record low of -20 Index Points in December of 2008.
The Rosstat consumer confidence index grew 1 percentage point on the quarter to minus 16% in January–March, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Thursday. The share of people who think that recent economic changes are positive fell to 11% in January–March from 12%
