Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev asked Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak to check the information about the growth in motor fuel prices in Siberia and the Russian Far East and take the required measures, Kommersant reports. The paper writes that Kozak held a meeting with oil companies and confirmed that the price growth was in line with inflation, adjusted for the VAT increase. According to the paper, last week the retail prices for 92 and 95 gasoline in the Russian Far East increased 1.6% WoW and 1.4% WoW to RUB 45.84/l and RUB 47.51/l, respectively, while in the Siberian region they rose moderately, by 4 and 5 kopeks per litre, respectively. The paper reports that 92 and 95 gasoline retail prices in Russia grew on average a moderate 7 and 6 kopeks per litre, respectively, while diesel prices are down 1 kopek per litre to RUB 46.02/l since the beginning of June.
