On January 24, Goldman Sachs International (New York/GS) issued 56 warrants on a total of seven underlying assets at Borsa Istanbul (BIST). The assets are stocks of the BIST-30 index names Erdemir (Eregli Demir Celik/EREGL), Tupras (TUPRS), Turkish Airlines (THYAO), Sisecam (SISE), Garanti BBVA (GARAN) and Aselsan (ASELS).
Unlu Menkul (Unlu & Co/UNLUS), a unit of Unlu Yatirim Holding (UNLU), is the local market-maker.
In November, Turkey’s capital markets board (SPK/CMB) approved Goldman's application to sell up to a nominal Turkish lira (TRY) 50mn worth of warrants in Turkey.
On November 29, Goldman sold a first party of warrants, a nominal TRY50,000 worth of five warrants on Garanti and Turkcell (TCELL).
On January 24, Goldman sold a nominal TRY2.38mn worth of papers in a second party.
