4 Minutes
Down the clock ticks,
It’s the last four minutes of the test, I must be quick.
Four minutes has never stopped me before,
But I wished I had more.
In four minutes I could unpack my bag,
I’m pretty good at it, but I hate to brag.
In four minutes I could run from the basement to the upstairs,
And even stop at my locker because if I’m late, who really cares?
In four minutes I could finish my homework for the next class,
Because math was something that I really needed to pass.
Knowing I could accomplish almost anything with four minutes I began to hurry, And soon my fears of not finishing were no longer a worry.
Finished was the last half of the test now because I had rushed,
Lets just hope my grade doesn’t get crushed.

Your First Day
It’s the fear of finding new friends
The anxiety of finding a roommate on time The doubt of making it through your first day It’s College
It’s the nervous palms as you walk into your first class The concern of where you are going to sit
The panic of hoping the professor does not call on you It’s College
It’s the relief of getting along with your last minute roommate The comfort of knowing you are getting through your first day The satisfaction that you are going to bed smiling
It’s College

The Final Stress
My heart races
My head is spinning
Sleep is nonexistent
Days and days our heads wrapped in books Nights of endless tears
So nervous unable to eat
So much to know not enough time
When will this end
No one knows
We just keep on fighting
Refusing to accept defeat

Finals
Studying, tests, books galore!
Finals are definitely a chore.
Biology and math make me cry
I wouldn’t pass those even if I tried. Ready to take it, pencil in hand
These tests were harder than I planned. I can’t wait till this week is done.
Then this weekend I can have some fun.
