THE KOHUTH CHALLENGE
Two anonymous alumni have come forth to provide a $200,000 Challenge Grant to the PaduaPlus+ Campaign. The grant has been made in recognition of longtime faculty member Tom Kohuth, who is retiring in June after 50 years of service—teaching Bruins both in the classroom (as a math teacher) and on the eld (as a football coach). Mr. Kohuth humbly accepted this tribute and was pleased to play a role in reaching the $4.5 million campaign goal. These two alumni have started the challenge, and they hope other alumni, as well as parents and friends of Padua, will follow their lead by pledging their support to thePaduaPlus+ Campaign.
Advancement has a brand new face. As a matter of fact, we have several new faces!
Our dynamic team of six is up and running—and so are several new
Advancement program initiatives. We are excited to nd dynamic ways to share the
Padua story with alumni, parents, and
friends of the school. We are here to serve you, to keep you connected to Padua, and to share information with you.
The Advancement Team is responsible for all fundraising and friend- raising activities in the school, including the PaduaPlus+ Campaign, Endowment Fund, Bruin Bene t, Red, White & Brew’n, Alumni Golf Outing, Alumni Homecoming, Friar Club Picnic, Friar Club Induction Dinner, Reception with the President, Hall of Fame, and Class Reunions. We welcome volunteers in all capacities!
A recent addition to our website is an online listing of Alumni Donors by class; check it out at www.paduafranciscan.com/giving. You can make sure your name is added to the list by simply clicking on the DONATE NOW link.
Beginning with the October 2017 issue of The Paduan, we will recognize all alumni, parents, and friends in a new section called Celebrating Our Donors.
