Built in 1795 on a plantation outside of
Salisbury, this grand “Federal Style Mansion” is
an architectural jewel. The Poplar Hill Mansion is filled with antiques and reproductions. They offer quaint tea parties throughout the year and two exhibits featuring Dr. Huston’s Surgery Room and the Keeping Room. Admission is free on Sundays from 1pm–4pm and tours can be scheduled on other days for a small fee. Please call ahead for availability and try to make reservations at least 24 hours prior to visiting.

Salisbury Zoological Park

Set along the beautiful Wicomico River, the Salisbury Zoological Park is one of the finest zoos of its kind in the eastern United States. The 13-acre facility provides naturalistic exhibits featuring specimens native to the Americas. Some of the animals featured include: bear, tropical and local birds, bison, whitetail deer, llama, jaguar, river otters, and an endangered red wolf! There is
NO FEE for admission to the zoo, but donations are appreciated. The zoo is open all year, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and when there are inclement weather conditions.
Upper Ferry and Whitehaven Ferry

Explore the waterways uniquely by crossing
the Wicomico River on the two-car Upper Ferry or the three-car Whitehaven Ferry, which have been in operation for more than 325 years. It's said that the Whitehaven Hotel, near the ferry, is where Edna Ferber, inspired by the stories of the salesmen who traveled the Wicomico River, wrote “Show Boat.”
US 13 Dragway

The US 13 Dragway is a International Hot Rod Association sanctioned drag racing facility. Its track is 3,600 ft. long and has spectator seating for 2,730 fans. It is located in Delmar, Delaware along with its sister track the Delaware International Speedway. The complex is one of Delaware's largest attractions.

Located just minutes from downtown Salisbury, the Wicomico Equestrian Center is Delmarva's premier show facility. It offers four large rings— two grass and two sand. The grass rings each have an adjacent schooling area. There are also three full jump courses and standard dressage letters and fencing. The main barn offers 42 stalls, and there is an additional ten stall barn.
