P. 9

As we adopt the EDGE Model, there is a sense of excitement in STX! As we begin this race, we must approach each account as an NNI team.
It is a lot like the relay races we enjoyed in elementary. The excitement was high as each team strived to win. However, winning required planning. Not only was it important that each teammate ran at their maximum potential, but it was also essential to secure a smooth baton handoff to the next person. This ensured that next team member could take off effectively, run, and continue to pass the baton, so the team could succeed.
If one person keeps the baton the whole time, the team will not achieve their goal. If communication is impaired, the baton will be dropped and tradeoffs will be ineffective, reducing the team’s chance of winning.
As we are approach joint accounts, we must:
Understand our role and the roles of internal stakeholders. Communicate with NNI counterparts.
Send calendar invites.
Share meals and appointments compliantly. Text, email, or call with relevant account updates.
Coordinate (who, what, when, where, how)
When we work together, we can focus on the customer’s needs. As other priorities surface, we can bring in other collaborative partners with the best tools and resources to serve the account. In the end, our success is determined by our ability to execute at a high level when it is our turn to run and our willingness to pass on the baton so we can truly triumph as ONE TEAM.
