       1. From Social-Emotional Learning to Mental Health: Moving from Vision to Action - Dr. Bill Daggett, Founder, International Center for Leadership in Education
We have no choice: all of us educators must act to counteract the alarming increase in mental health issues, which is bearing down primarily on our students and secondarily on the adults serving and surrounding them. Dr. Daggett and his colleagues at ICLE have searched the nation for the most successful practices to address these difficult challenges. While we are still in the early stages of confronting this crisis, many schools have devised programs that are successfully folding SEL/mental health into learning. Participants will learn from the mistakes of others and gain a toolkit of specific strategies and practices you can use at the classroom, building, and district levels to help our schools become places of wellbeing and health.
      2. Learning from Tragedy: Looking to the Future - Dr. Joe Erardi, Former Superintendent, Newtown Public Schools
Dr. Erardi shares lessons learned from the December 2012 Sandy Hook tragedy. As part of this interactive session, you’ll learn best proactive practices, the importance of safety-related partnerships, and the critical need for updated and understandable safety information in your school district. Attendees will also learn how to improve their present plan and respond protocols during a crisis, and how to create optimal reunification plans and strategies for managing the district post-emergency.
    3. Neuroscience, Social-Emotional Learning, & How We Must Respond to Student Struggles During COVID-19 & Beyond – Karen DeSchryver, Ph.D. National Consultant, & Greg Moore, Account Executive, Edgenuity
The COVID-19 Crisis has thrown the lives of every student and administrator into turmoil. Anxiety and confusion have taken forefront feelings and many of our youth have been left struggling with how to cope with the sudden loss of the structure and support that going to school offers. By understanding the relationship between neuroscience and social and emotional learning, educators can develop powerful ways to connect with students through meaningful conversations that can improve behavior, increase student success, and inspire learning that lasts a lifetime. Our professionals will help you to have a deeper understanding of how to meet the needs of all learners after this informational session.
      4. I’ve Got Your Back: Student-Driven Anti-Bullying & Kindness - Hannah Guillmette, Founder, Ann Guillmette, Outreach Coordinator & Jen Tsang, Board Secretary, I’ve Got Your Back
Come and meet Hannah, who founded the IGYB movement when she was just 13. Now, at 16, she shares how IGYB was started and why together with her mom Ann, and their organization, they are compelled to help all students in NH schools. Board of trustee member Jen will share program details, and why not only victims of bullying need help, but why the bullies do as well.
     5. The RTI Framework for Mental Health Care – Jennifer Murray, Director of District Partnerships, & Mike Roseman, VP of District Partnerships, Effective School Solutions
In this session Jennifer and Mike will unpack what tiered systems of mental health support look like, introduce the concept of "blended" mental health, and also outline how mental health initiatives can be self-funding during this time of budget uncertainty. They will also introduce a framework for supporting student mental health during re-entry and provide districts with a checklist to assess mental health readiness.
