Back in ancient Egypt, children were often depicted in paintings and carvings as being completely and utterly, stark-staring, no-pants-in-sight nUdE as the day they were born.
It’s not known whether they actually did run about naked most of the time — up to the age of 12 or so — or if that was just a way of drawing them so it was clear they were kids and not adults.
